Reject Every Satanic Thought

Your mind is a battlefield. It is where victory or defeat is decided. The battle of your mind is over permission. Your agreement is necessary for the victory of your adversary, the devil. Why?  No adversity can break you without your permission. The goal of Satan is to try and make you accept the negative thoughts he plants in your mind.

Your consent is extremely necessary for the establishment of Satan’s agendas in your life. For instance, if you are going through a health battle, and the planted negative thought says, “You are not going to come out of this.” Such a negative thought remains impotent until you give in to it. Your permission literally grants the devil authorization to finish his horrific job description – to kill, steal and destroy (John 10:10).

Agreement is all that your the enemy requires. That is why the bible says in Proverbs 23:7 that, “As he thinks in his heart, so is he.” Whatever thought continues to dominate your mind is the thought you have permitted. Nothing is capable of dominating your mind without your allowance. Whatever thought you allow eventually germinates and produces fruits.

No devils in hell can overcome you without your validation. Satan ferociously sought to destroy Job, but Job never gave him the much needed approval. Rather, Job declared, having lost everything, that “Though he slays me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him” (Job 13:15). Job decided his resolution. He was not giving up on God even in the face of death. Job understood the schemes of the devil to lure him to forget God and accept a defeat.

In which area of your life have the enemies been trying to make you accept their evil suggestions in your life? Is it in your relationship, marriage, finances, work, studies, spiritual life or is it regarding the wellbeing of your children? I’ll like to encourage you to hold on to the Word of God. Never authorise the enemy. Satan is powerless without your permission.

My wife recently prayed for a friend who was struggling with mouth ulcer. After the prayer, she (my wife) began to feel a weird symptom in her own mouth. Then the Devil said to her in a form of a thought, “The ulcer is now developing in your mouth.” It was a serious battle of faith. She stood her ground. She refused to accept the satanic offer, even though the symptom seemed to escalate the day after. But she was persistent in rebuking the schemes of the devil. Praise God! The symptoms disappeared in no time and the victory was won.

Your future will be decided by the thought you permit. You were created a free will agent. Therefore, your future experiences will often be products of your permission, knowingly or unknowingly. Jesus has given us authority and power over the devil, but it is up to us to exercise this incomparable authority (Luke 9:1). You can choose to resist the devil in the name of Jesus or permit his activities.

Remember, silence is permission. When you remain silent to the suggestions of the devil, it is interpreted as authorisation. Hence, it is important that you are deliberate, firm and verbal as you nullify every thought contrary to the will of God for your life in the name of Jesus. Identify a scriptural verse relevant to your case and begin to confess it (Hebrews 4:14).

Your victory is already decided by the blood of Jesus and your faith in Him (1 John 4:4). So, talk like a victor. Act like it, and the strongholds of the enemy will be shattered in your life. “

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5

Your in Christ,

Are You Satisfying Divine Mandate?

You were created to pursue God’s mandate on the earth. You were saved to fulfil the Great Commission – preaching the Good News and making disciples of all the nations.

How passionate are you at spreading the Gospel of the Kingdom of God? What is the main drive of your life? Does your day-to-day living reflect this divine mandate? Your daily routine reveals your focus, priorities and the level of your passion toward the work of the kingdom of God (2 Cor 2:15).

Why don’t you ask God to ignite within you a passion to reach the unsaved? Surrender to the leadership of the Holy Spirit today. Allow Him to use your gifts, wisdom, opportunities and resources to expand the kingdom of God on the earth.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 28:19

Refuse to Worry

Worry is the attempt of the mind to fix a problem before it ever occurs. It is simply the willingness of the mind to show up today for an anticipated battle regarding the future.

Your mind is your garden. You are responsible for its cultivation. Satan’s passion is to sow the weed of anxiety into your mind in order to break your focus and rob you of your peace.

Refuse today to entertain worry; “casting your care upon the Lord, for He cares for you” (1Peter5:7). Pour out your heart to Him in prayer, with thanksgiving. Resist the spirit of worry in the name of Jesus. God will never fail you if you put your trust wholly in His unfailing love.

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians 4:6

Every Battle is an Opportunity

Life is a continuous warfare. You are always involved in one battle or the other, whether you realise it or not. There is never a day in your life when you are not in a battle – whether it is a battle over your health, joy, peace, relationships, children, marriage, finances, crucial decision making or over your faith. As long as you are among the living, warfare will never cease: you must simply learn to fight, as we do not fight against flesh and blood (Ephesians 6:12).

The reason men fail in life is not because they are in a battle; they fail because of their unwillingness to learn to fight effectively. If Joseph had forfeited his integrity at Potiphar’s house, he would not have reached the throne. Likewise, had David been ignorant of the power of God available to him, he would not have confronted Goliath. But David knew that the battle belongs to the God he served, and was ready to do his part. He saw opportunity, not only for the name of the Lord to be glorified, but also for him to receive the rewards of winning.

Warfare is never a barrier, but a channel to your season of promotion. Warfare is your walkway to wonders. Battle is simply a bridge to a reward system. Every battle has a hidden reward. The emergence of warfare simply reveals that your promotion is imminent. Whatever battle you are in right now, see it as a bridge to your breakthrough. Hold on to your faith. Fight scripturally. Take every contrary thought captive by the Word of God. Then expect to emerge victoriously and to lay hold of the rewards for winning.

“Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.” James 1:12
